We had a brilliant day on the water on Sunday 12th September, enjoyed by everyone who took part.

Sadly, due to the non-availability of Senior Instructors and boat's crews, that was our last sailing session for this season.

Thank you to our instructors, volunteers and young people who made the two sessions that we did achieve go smoothly, despite an almost 2 year hiatus. We even managed to pass our annual RYA inspection.

We are now working towards next year when, hopefully, we will have more instructors and volunteers available.

HYSTS Operating Area

We operate in the North Western reaches of Chichester Harbour sailing from a base located on Langstone Quay.

Our operating area is shown on the map above, it is bounded by the North embankment of Langstone Bridge and Langstone Quay, the foreshore of Hampshire, to the Sweare Deep marker and on to the foreshore of Hayling Island.

The area around the Wade racing mark is used as the beginners’ area. This is a safe area free from underwater obstructions and moorings. It is clear of the main channel and close to our sailing Base.
